Mr. Vo Van Hoan, on behalf of the City's leaders, congratulated Thailand on its great achievements in the nearly 100 years since the country's founding. He highlighted that Vietnam and Thailand were the first two countries in ASEAN to elevate their relationship to a Strategic Partnership in 2013 and remain the only two countries in the region to have upgraded their relationship to an Enhanced Strategic Partnership. This demonstrates a high level of political commitment as well as a close connection of economic interests and trade between the two countries.
Thailand and Vietnam have enjoyed close and cordial diplomatic relations for over 47 years, which have expanded at all levels. Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies currently has Thai language training programs for businesses, contributing to improving the quality of the country's human resources.
