On the morning of July 25, 2024, the Scientific Seminar "Promoting multicultural values and the potential to build a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle" took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM.
On Saturday, March 9th, 2024, The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies participated in a seminar with the theme: "Gender in Chinese Cinema and Japanese Popular Culture", held at Nam Thi House (152 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), organized by the Vietnam Women's Publishing House in collaboration with the Japan Foundation and Nam Thi House. The event was coordinated by Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh (Ho Chi Minh City University of Education), with two invited speakers, Dr. Alisa Freedman (University of Oregon) and Dr. Phan Thu Van (Ho Chi Minh City University of Education).
On 28 October 2022, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, USSH HCMVNU and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hau Giang province hosted a seminar “Impacts of climate change on livelihood and agriculture land use in Hau Giang: New challenges and solutions”. The seminar was attended by Dr Tran Dinh Lam - Principal Investigator, Mr Dang Ngoc Giao - Deputy Director of DARV, Mr Le Thanh Tien - Deputy Director of the Central Bank - Hau Giang Branch, Assoc.Prof.Dr Le Anh Tuan - Faculty of Environment and Natural resources, Can Tho University, Pham Thanh Thoi M.A - Deputy Director of CVSEAS - Co-Principal Investigator, Nguyen Hong Truc, M.A - Co-Principal Investigator and representatives from other departments and offices of the province.
On July 2nd, 2022, the seminar: “Barrier free research from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam” was held online, hosted by Dr. Toshiyuki Uwano. This is the final part of the project "Cross-cultural communication for the inclusive society by the leaders of Person with Disability in Asia" by Dr. Toshiyuki Uwano, sponsored by the Toyota foundation. Attending the seminar were researchers, lecturers, and social workers from universities, social security and welfare centers, and social work centers of many Asian countries. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of CVSEAS, also attended the event.
On May 29th, 2022, The Vietnam Australia Innovation Network (NIC AU) organized a Conference themed "Application of technology 5.0 to innovate sustainable development of the agricultural industry and supply chain to improve the quality, distribution, and value of agricultural products in an effective and circular manner”.
On the evening of February 14, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) coordinated with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to hold a “Forum for connecting overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs, promoting trade and investment in the agricultural sector”.
On October 16th, 2020 representatives from 18 universities across Vietnam joined the “Building a network amongst participants running the project funded by ERAMUS ” seminar hosted by Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) via Google Meet. Dr. Lê Thị Kim Thoa, Vice Dean of Faculty of Marine resources and islands management organized the seminar to introduce on-going projects and share challenges when implementing them in reality.
Morning of November 30th 2019, the extended training workshop “Experiences in managing tourist destinations from the cases of Japan and Vietnam” was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-USSH-HCM) as part of the TOURIST* project’s framework.
On March 15th, the 4th Replication Training “Improving Students’ Internships Process” was organized at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH).
In the morning of March 15th, the Replication Seminar 3 “Improving Graduates’ Employability” took place at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH). The seminar is part of the V2WORK Project.
