As a representative of HCMC-USSH, Dr. Lam delivered a presentation on 4 projects REACT, ENHANCE, TOURIST and V2WORK. The Doctor addressed values of those projects to Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia and the network between researchers from EU and Vietnam thanks to teaching and research collaborations. The projects also promoted mutual support and teamwork amongst participant universities in an attempt to build open education and training activities.
Dr. Trần Đình Lâm representing HCM USSH presents the projects.
The project topics covered a host of aspects such as natural resources, environment, sustainable tourism development, collecting and processing sewage and increasing chances of student's job opportunity after graduation. Despite the diversity in project topics and sizes, all projects were of great value to provide involved universities with knowledge, experience, network and necessary equipment. Nonetheless, as to remarks and feedback from lecturers in the seminar, the participants had to overcome a great deal of administrative procedures to get the benefits mentioned above. As a result, this made the project behind schedule and demotivated the project operating teams.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyễn Thị Kim Thoa, host of the seminar, moderates the discussion.
In addition, the lecturers posed some of the difficulties and discussed solutions they faced when working in their projects. Therefore, they decided to establish a network to connect universities together in order to learn, assist and cooperate in the future. The academic staff all agreed to create an “online photo album” to promote the on-going projects.
