Within the framework of REACT project on climate change funded by ERAMUS+, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEA) organized a national seminar on the topic Climate change and social economic vulnerability in the Mekong on December 21, 2018 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies would like to invite researchers, students, lecturers, and staff members from all HEIs to participate in the Seminar “Climate Change and Renewable Energy”

This seminar is part of the REACT Project - Strengthening Climate Change Research and Innovation Capacities in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam coordinated by University of Alicante, Spain and funded by Erasmus+ of Europe Commission.

On July 23th, 2018, following the objectives of REACT ToT2,  the training titled “Assessment of socio - ecological resilience for livelihood adaptation with drought and salinization in Mekong delta” was held at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, with guest speaker Assoc. Prof. PhD. Nguyen Hong Quan from Center of Water Management and Climate Change (WACC).

On January 19, 2018, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies held a seminar on “Climate Change, Water Change and Environmental Degradation in the Mekong Delta” which is presented by Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of Research Institute for climate change, Can Tho University in the series of REACT Project’s Seminar.

On 26-28 March, 2017, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, attended the opening ceremony to launch a project on “strengthening climate change REsearch And innovation CapaciTies in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam – REACT” at the University of Alicante, Spain. During the meeting, the project’s members had discussions and reached agreements on the project-related issues.
