ENHANCE – ONLINE TRAINING “SUPPORTING TOOLS FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARH

On March 19th, the online training “Supporting tools for scientific research” took place at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University. The training is part of the ENHANCE project.

 

The guest speaker of the training was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da – Chief of Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Agency in Southern Region (MOST-NASR).

Attendants of the training were experts, staff members of MOST-NASR, MOST of Ben Tre, Hau Giang, An Giang, Binh Phuoc Provinces, and University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (HCMUSSH), University of Science and Technology, University of Economics and Law, University of Pedagogy.

For HCMUSSH, the training welcomed the presence of Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.

At the beginning of the training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da addressed difficulties in transferring scientific technology, commercialization of research product, as well as related issues such as intellectual property in Vietnam.

The main aim of the training was to introduce to participants online tools for managing scientific product including different collaboration templates. Those were the tools that support research activities and had been widely used by European universities. Besides, clear specification and guides on rights to use data, commercialization methods and shares of research products, author rights of individual, organizations participating in the research were also presented during the training.

The training helped to emphasize the importance of understanding the legal procedures in research activities related to intellectual property as well as methods to increase the practical application aspect of research products.
