CAREER DAY PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH INSIGHTS BEFORE GRADUATION
On Dec 26, Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), Faculty of International Relations and VNUHCM USSH collaborated with Ho Chi Minh City departments in holding Career Day 2 as an opportunity for students to meet local businesses and governmental departments; thus providing students with insights before they enter the workforce.
DISCUSSION WITH TOPCV COMPANY ABOUT THE TOPIC: APPLYING TECHNOLOGY FOR RECRUITING AND LOOKING FOR A JOBOn November 18th, 2020, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, members of the Board of Director of the V2WORK project had a meeting with the representatives of TOPCV – one of the top e-recruitment platform in Vietnam, about supporting students seeking for a job by using technology applications.

On October 20th, 2020, the executive committee of project V2WORK had a business brunch with the business leaders and the faculty heads on planning the V2WORK - Career Day 2 in 2020.
THE VIETNAM EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUPPORT NETWORK SIGNING CEREMONY IN HANOI
On October 29th and 30th, 2020 in Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University had attended the signing ceremony VEES-NET within the framework of the project V2WORK. The representatives of HCM USSH were Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh – Vice Chancellor, Dr. Tran Le Hoa Tranh - Director of the Center for Career Orientation and Human Resource Development (Career Center), Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies. This is the network of cooperation from 8 universities around Vietnam with the aim of helping post-graduate students looking for a job. The network is conducted with the support of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and AIESEC Vietnam.
On July 13th, the seminar “Organizing Online Courses and Job Fairs for Vietnamese Higher Education Institutions,” took place on HCMUSSH’s District 1 campus.
TALK WITH BUSINESS LEADERS: POST-PANDEMIC EMPLOYMENT IN VIETNAM – CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIESIn the morning of April 29th, 2020, the executive committee of project V2WORK* had a brunch meeting with business leaders on “Post-pandemic Employment in Vietnam – Challenges and Opportunities” as part of the project’s framework.
VIRTUAL REPLICATION SEMINAR 5: ORGANIZING ONLINE CLASSES AND JOB FAIRIn the morning of April 10th, 2020, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized a virtual replication seminar on “Organizing Online Classes and Job Fair” for teachers and business leaders as part of project V2WORK’s (Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship) framework. The seminar is a continuation of the fifth ToT (Training of Trainers) seminar on “Tools for Engagement through Career Centers” in Tra Vinh, under the guidance of the coordinators from the University of Alicante, University of Coimbra, and FH Joanneum University.
In the morning of March 31, 2020, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) held a second progress report on V2WORK's project activites. In attendance were Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, and Ms. Ho Cam Nhung of the Center for Career Orientation and Human Resource Development.
CHECK AND ACCEPTANCE OF SUPPLY AND INSTALL EQUIPMENT PACKAGE FOR PROJECT V2WORKIn the morning of February 13th, a check and acceptance of all equipment belonging to the “Supply and install equipment and databases for project V2WORK* – Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship” package was completed at room D610 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dinh Tien Hoang campus by the Check and Acceptance Board.
On 29th, 30th, and 31st October 2019, the national conference of the V2WORK project with the highlight on “The forum for graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship” was organized in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH).
