MEETING BETWEEN THE REPRESENTATIVES OF UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES AND MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
, 23/03/2019 07:03In March 19th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) organized a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Dr. Le Huu Phuoc - Vice president of USSH, Dr. Tran Anh Tien - Head of Scientific research and Project management Department, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da - representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da and the representatives of USSH have discussed about organization of international conference on “Climate Change Research in Southeast Asia” within the framework of REACT project, funded by Eramus+. Accordingly, the conference will be organized by the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies in collaboration with University of Alicante (Spain) on September 19th and 20th, 2019.
Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Da expects that the conference will be widely disseminated to many localities and various academic institutions. University of Social Sciences and Humanities will strive to have a successful conference to spread knowledge of climate change to teachers, students and communities. In addition, The USSH looks forward to coordinating with the Ministry of Science and Technology to implement many other projects in the future.
International conference on “Climate Change Research in Southeast Asia" is one major activity of the project "Strengthening climate change research and innovation capacities in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam". The event aims to improve research capacity and propose initiatives related to climate change, establish networks to share academic data and information as well as enhance connectivity between academics and practice, linkage between professionals, the state, businesses and socio-economic organizations on national and international scale.
