REPLICATION SEMINAR 4 – IMPROVING STUDENTS INTERNSHIPS PROCESS

On March 15^th, the 4^th Replication Training “Improving Students’ Internships Process” was organized at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH).

The seminar witnessed the presence of Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Le Hoa Tranh – Deputy Director of Center for Career Orientation and Human Resources Development (CaCe); Ms.  Ho Cam Nhung – Expert from CaCe together with lecturers, researchers, experts and students from many faculties.

The guest speaker of the training is Ms. Le Hoang Uyen Vy – former CEO of Adayroi.com, current CEO of ESP Capital.

Within the framework of V2WORK project, the 4^th Replication Seminar is to introduce the importance of internship, some study models at European universities, three phrases – before, during, after – of the internship process.

Given her considerable experiences, Ms. Le Hoang Uyen Vy talked about the employment process in a company and all the steps that a student needs to prepare before going to an interview.

“Nowadays, companies pay great attention to the employment process, they are not careless like they used to be in the past. They begin to apply foreign employment model, making graduates going through many rounds and specialized tests including IQ, EQ, skills…That’s why student needs to devote  a great deal of effort” she said. She also believed that soft skills and attitude are the two most important factors that students should focus on.
