V2WORK: 2019 ENTERPRISING IDEA COMPETITION – NGƯỜI NHÂN VĂN KHỞI NGHIỆP

The 2019 Enterprising Idea Competition "Người nhân văn khởi nghiệp" co-organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM-USSH), the Youth Union – USSH Students Union, the Alumni Businessman’s Club and the Steering Group of V2WORK was held from August 22, 2019 to October 26, 2019. The event attracted more than 60 students from many higher education institutes across Ho Chi Minh City.

V2WORK – Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship skills – is a 3-year Erasmus+ project co-financed by the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Alicante whose aim is to strengthen the capacities of the Vietnamese HE System to improve the employability & entrepreneurship skills of its graduates, and to reinforce its relationships with the labor market.

In the competition, members of V2WORK Steering Group are responsible for consulting, media and sponsorship support. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asia Studies – is a member of the Consulting Board.

The prize structure for the competition is as follows:

  • First Prize: 50.000.000 VND
  • Second Prize: 15.000.000 VND
  • Third Prize: 15.000.000 VND
  • Consolidation Prize: 5.000.000 VND

The best candidates from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will be chosen to participate in the V2WORK National Entrepreneurship Competition in the third quarter of 2019.

After many elimination rounds, 8 projects were chosen to enter the final stage of the competition. The 3 winning projects are:

  • First Prize: “Guava – The Production and Delivery of Wood Apple’s Products to Consumers” by Nguyen Thanh Gia, Faculty of Psychology, VNUHCM-USSH;
  • Second Prize: “Mental Coffee – Share Your Thoughts with a Cup of Coffee” by a group of 5 students of the Faculty of Social Work, VNUHCM-USSH;
  • Third Prize: “SHub Classroom – The App for Connecting Students with Teachers”.

Người Nhân Văn Khởi nghiệp” Entrepreneurship Competion 2019 is one of the primary tasks of V2WORK in cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
