V2WORK SHARING EVENT AT HUTECH UNIVERSITY
, 02/10/2018 15:10In the morning of September 15, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the kick-off ceremony of the contest “Rookie - Marketing of the Year 2018”, organized by VINACACAO and Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH).
In the opening remarks, Dr. Lam highly appreciated the idea of holding an entrepreneurship competition in the marketing sector as an opportunity for students to put academic knowledge into practice. It is also a chance for them to gain experience under e-commerce experts’ guidance in particular and marketing professionals’ one in general.
He added that although there was a large number of competitions boosting entrepreneurship spirit for young people, the contest held by VINACACAO stood out among the rest due to its distinctive factor which brought practical experience to participants. The difference lies in the business models which operate towards e-commerce. Therefore, the students could be exposed to real challenges of the market and customers, which is beyond the textbooks. The spirit of “Rookie - Marketing of the Year” is also the final outcome that V2WORK as well as CVSEAS hoped to achieve.

To do so, the project would develop the capabilities of member universities' career centers to help students gain essential business and employment skills. By fostering this relationship, the quality of students’ internships will be better improved.
Delivering the final remarks, Dr. Lam expressed his appreciation and delight at Mr. Tran Van Lieng's - President and General Director of VINACACAO commitment to award exchange scholarships at Alicante University for excellent students in the competition’s next season.
