SEMINAR: EVALUATION OF SMART SCIENCE LAB CLASS PROJECTOn 5 July 2022, Xinchao ScienceEdu, Linh Chieu Primary School coordinating with the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized seminar “Evaluation of Smart Science Lab Class Project”. The seminar had the attendance of Mr Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City (DoET) , Mrs Le Thi Xinh, Deputy Head of DoET of Thu Duc City, Mrs Grace Soyun Jung, project lead - CEO of Xinchao ScienceEdu, Mrs Ta Thi Tuyet Mai, Headmaster of Linh Chiểu Primary School, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai - Dean of Faculty of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU HCM, Duong Thi My Hien M.A - Lecturer of Faculty of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - HCMVNU, headmasters of other primary schools and teachers at Linh Chieu school. The Smart Science Lab Class project lasts from late March to middle of June, aiming to bring equal educational opportunities with technological advances such as tablets, VR headsets, LMS.
SIGNING CEREMONY WITH INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS, INDIAOn the morning of May 23, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM) and Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA) was held at Dinh Tien Hoang Campus with many significant agreements and cooperation. This collaborative partnership was proposed and executed by the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
JOINT RESEARCH PROGRAM WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF OKINAWA (JAPAN) ON SUSTAINABLE RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.Within the implementation of the research program on sustainable rural development under the effects of hydropower, thermal power, wind power, and solar power, from February 25th to March 8th, 2022, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), University of Social Sciences and Humanities Ho Chi Minh City, in cooperation with the University of Okinawa (Japan) has conducted field research in the three provinces of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, and Ha Tinh.
REPORT TO DIPLOMATIC CORPS: VIETNAM'S EXPERIENCE IN COMBATING COVID-19 PANDEMICOn July 2nd, 2020, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a meeting with the consul delegates of 28 countries at the Caravelle Hotel to discuss Vietnam’s experience in combating the COVID-19 pandemic at the invitation of the Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) – Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in HCMC.
TOURIST – SECOND INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENTOn July 20th and 21st, 2020, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities – a member of TOURIST project, attended an international webinar on Sustainable tourism development in ASEAN. The second international seminar taking place in Bangkok (Thailand) is one of activities of project TOURIST* funded by European Union through Erasmus+ Foundation.
HCM-USSH ATTENDED INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE TOURIST PROJECT IN HANOI
The International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Tourism Development: Experiences for Southeast Asia Countries ” taking place at VNU USSH on Dec 3rd and 4th 2019, is part of the TOURIST Project funded by the European Union through the Erasmus + Program. The delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including 03 members, actively engaged in the Conference.
DISSCUSSING VIETNAM ECONOMIC REFORM WITH STUDENTS FROM CHANG JUNG CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY (TAIWAN)
On October 24th, 2019, after paid a visit in a wheelchair manufacturer of disability community in Kaohsiung - Taiwan (funded by Toyota), Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of Business Management and International Finance Program, invited by Prof. Wu Shu-Hsing, had a workshop about the Vietnam economy development process with international students (Indonesia, Cambodia, Taiwan,..) who were studying at the Faculty of International Finance of Chang Jung Christian University.
PROJECT TOURIST - WORKING WITH VIETNAM NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION OF TOURISM IN HANOIOn December 4th, 2019, within the framework of project TOURIST, the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Tourism was held in Hanoi. Representatives from FH Joanneum University (Austria), Ms. Claudia Linditsch, and Prof. Harald A. Friedl had a working visit with Dr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director General of Tourism Administration. The meeting was attended by Mr. Tran Phu Cuong - Director General of International Cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Director of the Institute for Tourism Development, and Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
OPENING CEREMONY OF REACT PROJECT – STRENGTHENING CLIMATE CHANGE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION CAPACITIES IN CAMBODIA, LAOS AND VIETNAMOn 26-28 March, 2017, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, HCM City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, attended the opening ceremony to launch a project on “strengthening climate change REsearch And innovation CapaciTies in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam – REACT” at the University of Alicante, Spain. During the meeting, the project’s members had discussions and reached agreements on the project-related issues.
PARTICIPATING IN THE KICK-OFF MEETING OF ENHANCE PROJECT From February 22 to 24, 2016, Prof.Dr. Vo Van Sen, President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Ho Chi Minh City and two representatives of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies had attended the kick-off meeting of the ENHANCE Project in University of Alicante, Spain. During the meetings, many issues related to the dissemination and implementation of the project had been addressed and discussed in detail by project partners, including HCM-University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
