GRADUATION CEREMONY OF 2015 VEMBA CLASS AT UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended the certificate graduation ceremony of the 2015 VEMBA class held by the University of Hawaii at GEM Center on July 12, 2015. 

Also present at the event were Dr. David Lassner - President of the University of Hawaii, Dr. Vance Roley - Dean and First Hawaiian Bank Chair of Leadership and Management
University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, Shidler College of Business, Prof. Dr. Tung Bui - Director of APEC-Study Center, Faculty Director of Vietnam Executive MBA Program (Hanoi & HCMC) and Matson Navigation Company Chair of Global Business, Mr. Larry Rodriguez – Executive Vice President of Central Pacific Bank in Hawaii, Mr. Alexander Titolo – Public Affairs Officer, Consulate General of the United States in HCMC, Vietnam. This MBA program was launched in 2001 at the Hanoi University of Foreign Trade and at the International University, Vietnam National University – HCMC in 2002. Prof. Tung Bui summarized remarkable achievements of the program, which has provided education for over 500 students during the last 15 years with significant contributions to Vietnam’s economic development.

The University President David Lassner acknowledged the effort of the managing board and lecturers who have devoted themselves to promoting the prestige of the University of Hawaii in Vietnam in terms of training high quality human resources. Mr. Alexander Titolo, representative of the Consulate General of the U.S. in HCMC, also complimented the University of Hawaii on their support to Vietnam through implementing an international standard MBA program, which greatly contributes to strengthening the U.S. – Vietnam relations. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, International University’s President, expressed his gratitude to the University of Hawaii’s professors for helping Vietnam in training excellent managers who can effectively apply theory to reality. A lot of Vietnamese leading executives have graduated from this program.
