PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM TO VISIT AND EVALUATE THE PILOT MODEL OF HIGH-TECH AGRICULTURAL TOURISM WITH CIRCULAR SOLUTIONS IN PHU GIAO DISTRICT, BINH DUONG PROVINCE
, 11/06/2024 15:06On the morning of June 7, 2024, Center for Rural Development - Saemaul Undong coordinated with U&I Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Unifarm) to organize a program to visit and evaluate a pilot model of high-tech agricultural tourism with circular solutions in Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province.
Attending the tour, local representatives included representatives from departments, offices, and government intitutions in Binh Duong province, as well as representatives from the Board of Directors of U&I Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Unifarm).
From the university's side, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan - President of USSH was in attendance, along with leaders of departments, faculties and centers, and experts and scientists in the fields of agriculture and tourism. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan - Director of the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies, was also present at the event.

The tour program had the theme of Farm School associated with tourism, aiming to help guests learn about high-tech agricultural activities. Evaluation activities were organized in the form of tourist tours, combined with visits to destinations in Phu Giao district, providing memorable and interesting experiences for guests.
The visit aimed to collect opinions from experts and scientists in the fields of agriculture and tourism about the pilot model and some tourism products in Phu Giao district. Through discussions and surveys, many comments and contributions were raised. Besides highlighting the successes and developments of the farm, experts also pointed out the challenges that Unifarm is facing.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan - Director of the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies, emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relationships between farms and universities, with the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050. She proposed that Unifarm become a pioneer in building the first banana museum in Southeast Asia, combining 3D technology and virtual reality, and organizing workshops to enhance education and promote the model.

The model "High-tech agricultural tourism with the application of circular solutions at Unifarm, Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province" is a product of the provincial science and technology project: "Research and development of the model of high-tech agricultural tourism in Phu Giao district, Binh Duong province associated with the construction of advanced new rural areas following the orientation of smart village development," chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan.
