MEETING WITH PANEL PLUS VIETNAM CO., LTD.
, 27/05/2024 10:05On the morning of May 23, 2024, the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies held a meeting to discuss potential cooperation with Panel Plus Vietnam Co., Ltd. at University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Representatives from the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan, Director of the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies, Chairwoman of the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association Ho Chi Minh City, along with a team of experts, researchers, and Thai language lecturers. During the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan presented plans to train and develop human resources who can use ASEAN languages, particularly Thai, to meet the increasing recruitment needs of Thai businesses in Vietnam.
Panel Plus Co., Ltd. is a wood substitute materials manufacturing and distribution company established in 1990, with its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. The company is affiliated with Mitr Phol Sugar Group, which is the fourth largest sugar company in the world. In Vietnam, the Panel Plus Vietnam Factory began construction in Giang Dien Industrial Park, Dong Nai province, in March 2023. The factory covers an area of approximately 22,000 m². During the meeting, the company's Human Resources Director mentioned the need to recruit employees for various positions such as Engineers, Factory Operations Managers, Maintenance Staff, Warehouse Managers, and Accounting Managers to work at the Thu Thiem office and factory facility in Dong Nai province.
The meeting opened up possibilities for cooperation between the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asia Studies and Panel Plus Vietnam Co., Ltd. Both sides agreed to promote Thai and Vietnamese language training activities for the company's employees and to collaborate on training human resources with the necessary skills and foreign languages required to work at the company.
