MEETING WITH MR. SEIKI FURUDATE – DEPUTY CONSUL GENERAL OF JAPAN

, 25/12/2023 10:12

On October 31, 2023, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the International Cooperation Program at Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) had a meeting and discussion with Mr. Seiki Furudate - Deputy Consul General of Japan on his new term of office in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the meeting, Mr. Seiki Furudate mentioned Vietnam's development issues. He highly appreciated Vietnam's internal strength and development potential in the process of integrating with regional countries. However, he believes that for Vietnam to develop positively, there needs to be cooperation from multiple sides to support businesses and develop high-quality human resources.

He stated that Vietnamese businesses need to learn from foreign investment experiences, seek opportunities to expand ther businesses and learn successful lessons from other countries. This will enhance their ability to build and develop successful businesses. He hopes that Vietnamese trainees in Japan can learn useful experiences from Japanese companies and apply them to develop their own businesses. For example, trainees can learn how RAMEN companies operate to establish a chain of stores suitable for Vietnamese products. This is the most convenient way to learn directly from Japanese companies and acquire business capital for themselves.

He highly appreciated Vietnam's internal strength, will, and spirit throughout its historical development stages. He believes that with this strength, Vietnam will overcome all shortcomings and continue to promote its strength, leading to effective development.

To achieve long-term and steady development, businesses need to prioritize research and development. They need to invest appropriately in this area to foster uniqueness and creativity. Additionally, Vietnam's economy will grow stronger and more stable when all businesses and operating systems respect the laws of the country. This serves as the foundation for the country's industrialization process. On this occasion, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam presented the book "LAW AND ECONOMICS ON ILLEGAL TRADES" to Mr. Seiki Furudate.
