TRAINING COURSE: CIRCULAR ECONOMY TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: ISSUES FOR THE PUBLIC SECTOR
, 25/12/2023 10:12On November 9 - 10, 2023, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the International Cooperation Program at Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies attended the training course: "Circular economy towards sustainable development: Issues posed to the public sector" organized by the Centre of International Integration Support in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Sustainable Finance Institute, UEH University.
The training course focused on updating guidelines, policies, and knowledge on circular economy and sustainable development; identifying the role of actors (especially the role of governments and local authorities) in the implementation of sustainable development goals; identifying the impacts of climate change on enterprises, households, and the public sector; discussing challenges and opportunities for the local economy related to climate change; how to integrate social and environmental risk management in budget management.
The training course was organized to provide knowledge, information, and identifying opportunities and challenges in circular economy development for officials in the city. The training course was successfully organized and attracted a lot of attention from units and organizations in the city.
