The contest’s judges include Yakabe Yoshinori – Deputy Consul General of Japan in HCMC; Ohashi Takeshi – Head of Human Resource Development Department, Japanese Business Association in HCMC; Ishibashi Mika – an expert on Japanese, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam; Hino Takeji – Head of HR Department of Lawson Joint Stock Co.; Kawaghuchi Eiichi – Chairman of the Operating Committee of TOPJ Test; Neghishi Chihiro – Director of Vietnam Kosaido HR Co., Ltd.; Ishibashi Hyde – Manager of the representative office of Daibiru Joint Stock Co. in HCMC; Nguyen Phu Quy – Director of Phu Quy Co., Ltd.; Pham Phuong Nam – Head of HCMC Club of Former Overseas Vietnamese Students in Japan.

Giving a speech at the time of announcing the contest’s results, Deputy Consul General of Japan in HCMC Yakabe Yoshinori expressed his sincere gratitude for considerable support from universities and Japanese centers in HCMC, especially to teachers who had offered assistance for the contest. Since the first one held in 1995, this contest has been annually organized during the past 18 years. It brings learners a great chance to improve their Japanese language competence, contributing to human resource training and developing the Vietnam – Japan relations, which has become closer in every aspect.
This year’s contest received 68 papers, in which 24 were selected to enter the second round and 12 excellent papers would compete with each other in the final round. With the theme “Each day is a present that life awards us”, contestant Doan Thi Minh Nguyen won the first prize of the contest. In addition, the Japanese companies also presented round-trip tickets from Vietnam to Japan to 3 next runners-up.
