TRAINING PROGRAM 2015 FOR TEIJIN EMPLOYEES
, 07/05/2015 14:05Employees of the Teijin Corporation (Japan) came to Vietnam to participate in a human resource training program jointly organized by the Alue Company (Japan) and the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, HCMC USSH, from 20-26 April, 2015.
The group consisted of 22 people, in which the number of trainees was 20. Besides, there were 9 Vietnamese students from HCMC USSH. Various interesting activities took place during the day throughout the whole week.
Attending the program on the first day, Prof. Vo Van Sen, HCMC USSH’s President, highly valued the human resources of Japan in general and that of Teijin in particular. He said that it was a great honor when Alue and Teijin chose to hold the training program at the university. The professor hoped that there would be more cooperative opportunities for the two parties in the future.

Teijin employees did many field trips in HCMC in order to prepare for their projects. They visited Ben Thanh Market, Parks 23/9 and 30/4, universities, niche stores such as those selling helmets, ao dai, raincoats, motorbikes, etc. Additionally, the group had a chance to visit and work with the Thanh Cong Textile Group, Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO) An Lac and the HCMC Department of Planning and Investment. They were warmly welcomed, getting deeper understanding of working environments as well as gaining more experience which would be useful for their later work and projects in Japan.

On that occasion, Tiejin employees also had a chance to have discussions with Vietnamese businessmen who are working for big companies such as MicroAd, Metro VN, FPT, etc. This is an opportunity for both parties to learn from each other.

After completing necessary tasks, they designed and presented several projects implemented in Vietnam. Later, they would present their projects in Japan in order to find out the most feasible and practical ones for investment in Vietnam. Through the training program, Teijin employees changed their awareness of and approach to the Vietnam’s socio-economic context, built up working skills, and knew more about the country’s culture and people.
The Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Studies appreciates that human resource, hoping that they would be the main human resources of Japan. Hopefully, Vietnam will be able to develop its own workforce in order to boost the country’s socio-economic growth. The Center wishes to have opportunities to cooperate with the Alue Company and Teijin Corporation in years to come, contributing to building a good relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
