Dr. Tran Dinh Lam welcomed the group and provided them with brief information about the University. In his presentation, Dr. Lam gave a general overview of the Vietnam’s economy. Additionally, he put emphasis on some current problems that need to be solved, such as the reform of the country’s education system, modernization of infrastructure, reform of administrative affairs, etc.
Prof. Yoshiharu Tsuboi raised several questions during the discussions. For example, how to have a good development and build up qualified government administrators? Vietnam needs to propose practical solutions in order to address these issues, and then it will be able to achieve integration with other countries. According to the professor, the key factor lies in human resources. “Vietnam should develop human resources. You need to change your grey matter and your thoughts if you want to advance”, he added.
