ATTENDING THE SEMINAR
, 18/02/2011 10:02From 17/01 to 27/01/2011, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended the seminar "Sociology of Development" held in Hanoi Agricultural University. The seminar was sponsored by the EU Council with the speech participation of Prof. F. Nahavandi (University of Belgium), PhD. Tran Dinh Lam - Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies and MA Nguyen Thi Dien. The students were from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
The Seminar helped students with an overview of the development of human society from low to high in view of sociological theories and perspectives of scientists in the world with view objectives for the advancement of civilization and human society. The lecturers not only specially considered sociology as a standalone entity, but also referred to the correlation between economic, social and political concepts.
The seminar outlined the evolution of human society in the past and present and future trends, and remarks, analysis of the development, fairness, freedom and knowledge base of humanity.
Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam are considered developing countries. So training people is considered leading policies of national development. The cooperative programs of education, funding scholarships from the EU Council will be opportunities to improve human resource capacity in developing countries, the opportunities to strengthen mutual learning exchanges and the motivation of young labor in national construction.
