ATTENDING THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY OF LAOTIAN NATIONAL DAY
, 21/12/2010 21:12On December 2, 2010, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies participated in the 35th anniversary of National Day of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos. Attending the anniversary were leaders of HCM City and the provinces, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Vice Director of Vietnam National University- Ho Chi Minh City, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen, President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
During the journey of 35 years of glorious history, Party - the State and the Laotian People are proud before the great achievements that the Cham-pa Flower Country has gained.
On the requirements of international economic integration and successful implementation of socio-economic development strategies in the period 2001-2010, Laos has set a target to 2015 to liberalize almost entirely trade of goods and majority of service trade.
From the close-door model of planning, Laos has developed in the trend of integration and to the 2020 Laos basically becomes an industrialized and modernized country.
As for Vietnam National University - HCMC as well as University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the professors promised to help facilitate maximally scholarships for Laotian students to study in Ho Chi Minh City to partially contribute to the development of Laos in the future.
