INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON JAPANESE AND VIETNAMESE BUSINESS CULTURE
, 15/12/2010 17:12On September 14 and 15, 2010, Centre for Vietnamese and South-East Asian Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University HCMC organized a Symposium and Senior Dialogue on "Japanese and Vietnamese Business Culture", sponsored by Japan Foundation.
The workshop took place for two days: on September 14, 2010 held at the Lotus - Hotel Rex, 141 Nguyen Hue, District 1, HCMC and on September15, 2010 held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 10 -12 Dinh Tien Hoang, District 1, HCMC.
Attending the seminar were Dr. Nguyen Khac Canh - Vice Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Rector of the University of Economic Law - Vietnam National University, Mr. Furudate Seiki – Representative of Japanese Consulate General, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Assoc. Dr. Thanh Phan - Deputy Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Minh - Chairman of City Business Association, Assoc. Dr. Bui The Cuong - Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development of the South, Dr. Tran Huu Quang - Sociologist, Assoc. Dr. Phan Thi Yen Tuyet - Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, Master Ngo Thi Phuong Lan - Deputy Head of Anthropology Faculty, Vietnamese entrepreneurs, researchers and graduate students.
Speakers in the seminar are mainly professors, economic experts from Japan, including Prof. Yoshiaki Takahashi - Chuo University, Prof. Hitokoto Noriyuki - Tokyo Joho University, Prof. Koji Domon - Waseda University, Prof. Ikemoto Yukio - University of Tokyo, Masahiro Nishida Economist - Secretary-General of Japan Business Association in Vietnam, Tadashi Kikuchi, Economic Specialist of Consulate General of Japan and Dr. Le Dang Doanh - Vietnam Economic Expert, former Director of the Institute for Central Economic Management.
This conference is an opportunity for researchers and entrepreneurs in Vietnam to have conditions to learn about Japanese culture, thereby creating opportunities for relationships and cultural exchanges between Japan and Vietnam. Especially, the audience participated in the discussions with lively enthusiasm, set many hot and practical issues, and shared many valuable experiences to contribute to the formation of "Vietnam Entrepreneur Culture" in the future, while drawing a lesson: "Culture is one of the important factors leading to the success of business operations between the two Vietnam and Japan.”
