THE DOHA ROUND AND ITS IMPACT ON VIETNAM

On September 8th, 2010, at New World Hotel Saigon, 76 Le Lai, District 1, HCMC, Department of Multilateral Trade Policy, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, held a seminar titled "The DOHA round and its impact on Vienam."

Attending the seminar were Prof. Claudio Dordi, Team-head of MUTRAP Consultants, Dr. Matthias Duhn, EUROCHAM CEO in Vietnam, MSc. Luong Hoang Thai, Deputy Director of Multilateral Trade Policy, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Mr Andrew Stephen, STAR project expert and entrepreneurs in Vietnam. Of these were representative of University Center of Social Sciences Humanities and Assoc. Dr. Thanh Phan, Deputy Director of Center of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.

The workshop mainly focused on the reports and discussed issues related to the project of the Multilateral Trade Assistance in Phase III (EU - VIETNAM MUTRAP III) in order to give the latest information about Doha and the the initial comments on the impact on this delay to Vietnam to help the agencies and enterprises plan appropriate policies, within the framework of project activities to support the multilateral trading in period 3 (EU - Vietnam MUTRAP III).
