Some questions of the students’ interests at the talk included the policies of the Vietnamese government to encourage foreign investors to Vietnam and the issue of minimum wage for Vietnamese workers. Many learners of NIDA have been recruited by multinational companies, in which some have offices in Vietnam.
The Alumni Association’s members of NIDA also participated in the talk and raised a number of questions about regional culture in Vietnam and the role of Vietnamese expatriates. The spirit of Prime Minister Chatichai Choonhavan since 1988 which implemented a policy on changing the East Sea from a battlefield to a marketplace was also discussed at the NIDA’s hall. The involved countries need to have a close relationship and promote understanding of each other to facilitate the integration process with other countries in the region.
NIDA Business School’s President, Prof.Dr. Pradit Wanarat, also wishes to have support and cooperation in sharing human resources with Vietnam to seek for mutual development. The School is arranging for its students to do their internship in Vietnam.
