ARUNA LADVA TALKS ABOUT THE ART OF LIVING IN BALANCE
, 19/05/2017 17:05On May 12, 2017, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies collaborated with the Faculty of Sociology and the Inner Space Center to host a talk “Living in balance” presented by Aruna Ladva. Attendees at the event included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Xoan – Dean of the Faculty of Sociology alongside lecturers and students from this faculty and other departments.
With both western and eastern roots, 30 years of experience in researching and teaching and mostly known through her book called “It’s Time…for Relationships” published in Vietnam by First News, Aruna Ladva spends her time lecturing in different countries in order to help everyone increase their awareness of their inner self, learn how to maintain a balance in their lifestyle and develop a love for life.
During the seminar, Mrs. Aruna helped the attendees get a better understanding of the cause of imbalance in their life, which is because of their tension and apprehension. However, we should not use simple methods such as doing exercise or going travelling in order to solve the problem, but we need to examine what the real root is. In fact, when experiencing the same situation, if we have a positive response, we can get favorable results, and vice versa. Therefore, how the world is depends on how we see it. We need to stop blaming and complaining but accept everything with the most positive attitude. Then she instructed the participants to have a few minutes of contemplation, focusing on their good things and praying for a peaceful life.
At the end of the seminar, when asked that while war and conflicts are occurring around the world, whether it would be selfish or not if one only focuses on himself, she said that what the world will be like if we do not care about our inner selves, so each person needs to keep a balance of their spirit on their own and should not wait for other people’s help. Hopefully, Mrs. Aruna Ladva will return someday soon in order to give a talk about “how to enrich one’s innermost feelings”.
