ATTENDANCE TO ASIA- PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON ECONOMIC DYNAMICS

The seminar was held in the cooperation between UEL and Kobe University (Japan), University of Queensland (Australia). There were 77 scientists, researchers of economics of Vietnam, Australia, France, India, Japan, the U.S, etc participating in the seminar.

The seminar was held in the cooperation between UEL and Kobe University (Japan), University of Queensland (Australia). There were 77 scientists, researchers of economics of Vietnam, Australia, France, India, Japan, the U.S, etc participating in the seminar.

 The main speakers include Prof. John Stachurski, Australian National University, Prof. Takashi Kamihigashi - Kobe University, Assoc. Prof Aditya Goenka- National University of Singapore, Prof. Thanh Quang Le – University of Queensland, who delivered reports on factors, and affects of technologies, natural resources to economic development. Moreover, that Vietnam facing climate changes, ecological environment and protection of wild animals was discussed during the seminar.

Prof. Scott Frey, a Fulbright senior, is currently working with the CVSEAS, had a talk on "Animal Trafficking in the World System: The Case of Vietnam and Southeast Asia".

A field trip to Hung Ca Company in Dong Thap Province was conducted after the seminar. A closed model of raising high – quality fish has been established here to export to countries such as Japan, Europe and the U.S. Mr Tran Hung, chairman of the board says that 100% of products are exported abroad. Mr. Hung is confident that Hung Ca Company is always voted to be one of the top suppliers of fish with good quality in Vietnam. There is 80 ha out of 450 ha land achieves the Global GAP standard.

Mr. Tran Van Hung had a talk with the groups of scientists and researchers at Hung Ca Company.

Scientists from other countries are impressed with this model and the manufacturers and highly appreciate the working environment, closed production area as well as safety and hygiene. They claim that if the Vietnamese tightly cooperate with each other in training human resource, there will more companies like Hung Ca in the future. That will create a more dynamic Vietnam and more brands will become popular in the world.
