ATTENDING CEREMONY OF NATIONAL FOUNDATION DAY OF SOUTH KOREA

Dr. Trần Đình Lâm just attended the 4344^th ceremony of National Foundation Day of South Korea held by the Consulate General of South Korea in HCM City (with the presence of the Consul General Oh Jae Hack) at the Intercontinental Asiana Saigon Hotel on October 02.

The ceremony welcomed nearly 500 honored guests coming from HCM City People’s Council, the diplomatic corps in HCM City and the representatives of Korean social community in the City’s area, etc.

As for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – HCM City, present at the ceremony were the university president Prof. Dr. Võ Văn Sen, the representatives of Center for Korean Studies, the Department of Korean Studies, and so on.

In his speech at the ceremony, the Consul General of South Korea in HCM City, Mr. Oh Jae Hack, reported on the significant achievements of South Korea in 2012 and gave assessment of the friendly relationship between Vietnam and South Korea in many fields.

Now there are about 1800 enterprises of South Korea doing their business in the City and the surrounding areas, creating more than 400 thousand jobs for the Vietnamese laborers.

The Consul General hopes that this relationship will more develop on the occasion of 20 years of establishing the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

“Although I have been in Vietnam for over a year only, I feel very happy during this period of time because I have done many things for Vietnam and South Korea, maintaining the good relationship between the two countries. I am willing to travel to many places and meet many people to cultivate the firm friendship between Vietnam and South Korea”, said Mr. Oh Jae Hack.
