ATTENDING CONFERENCE ON THE NORTHEAST IN INDIA'S LOOK EAST POLICY AT MANIPUR UNIVERSITY, INDIA

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam attended a conference on the Northeast in India’s Look East Policy, which took place at the Manipur University (India) from 22-26 March and was jointly organized by the Manipur University, the Association of ASIA Scholars and the India Council of Social Science Research.

Members of the Organizing Committee consisted of Ambassador Sudhir T Devare, former General Director of the Indian Council of World Affairs and Prof. Nandakumar Sarma, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University. Many scholars were also present at the conference, including Prof.Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak from Thailand, and Prof.Dr. Thuy Chanthourn from the Royal Academy of Cambodia, and they took turns to present their studies.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam (1st, L) and other scholars attended the conference.

The conference highlighted the importance of strengthening the cooperative relations among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, between India and the Southeast Asian countries as well as among universities and research institutes.
