ATTENDING ENTREPRENEUR – STUDENT NIGHT EXCHANGE & STF SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION CEREMONY

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam just participated in an entrepreneur - student night exchange and a presentation of the STF & Businesses long-term scholarship that took place at the HCM City University of Economics on the evening of November 9.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of Mr. Vo Nhu Lanh – the Chairman of Managing Committee of Saigon Times Foundation (STF), representatives of the school managing board from universities in HCM City, Binh Duong, Da Lat and representatives of several businesses in the city’s area.

At the ceremony, more than 100 scholarships, which are worth VND 805 million, were awarded to students of universities in HCM City, Binh Duong and Da Lat.

Students are awarded scholarships at the ceremony.

“STF & Businesses Long-term Scholarship” is one of the social programs initiated by STF in company with many businesses such as KFC Vietnam Co. Ltd., Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), Pepsico Vietnam Co., Ben Thanh Corporation, Dan On Food Co. Ltd, Sai Gon Jewelry Co. Ltd, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Co. and Thien Nam Import-Export Commercial Joint Stock Co.

The group of “HCM City Singing Entrepreneurs” was also present at the ceremony. This is a band resulting from the passion for music of entrepreneurs, most of whom the companies’ leaders, with the hope that they can convey many meaningful messages through the band. Given the increasing rate of unemployment of graduates due to the impact of economic crisis, the night music themed “Finding a job in the crisis period” attracts a lot of students. The entrepreneurs enthusiastically answered the students’ questions about job opportunities as well as the skills students have to acquire so that they can get a good job.

In the background of economic depression nowadays, despite facing many difficulties, businesses are still in company with students, aiming at the mission of training young human resource for the future of the country and the businesses themselves.
