The seminar aims at helping lecturers and researchers gain sufficient information about the regulations of IP Law, some issues related to researching and teaching activities as well as providing them with the procedures for registering IP protection to the results of scientific and technological projects.
Hoang To Nhu raised some remarkable issues such as the types of IP arising in researching and teaching activities, some notices of the exploitation and protection of IP in higher education institutions. She also gave a number of examples and real situations which researchers and lectures often face. Then, she proposed specific solutions to each pursuant to legal regulations.
In fact, many IP products of researchers at universities have not been registered for protection. Most higher education institutions have not been active in proposing strategies and plans to develop IP activities. Textbooks and lectures are now being copied on a large scale without prior permission, which critically violates IP Law.
At the seminar, Nhu also enthusiastically answered lecturers’ questions and gave clear explanation to the problems arising in the registration procedures for IP rights at VNU – HCMC.
