ATTENDING THE OPENING CEREMONY OF JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL 2014
, 21/11/2014 08:11At 17:45, November 13, 2014, members of the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies had come to attend the Opening Ceremony for the Japanese Film Festival with the theme “A new wind is coming back- Japanese films and cartoons 2014”.
The Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Department of Japanese Culture and Tourism, continues to organize the 2nd Japanese Film Festival with the theme “A new wind is coming back - Japanese films and cartoons 2014”. Forty-five films of different genres such as cartoons, short films, are going to be shown during the week.
The films of the Japanese film industry represent beautiful themes of life such as love, career ... with not only daily life emotions but highly educated and humane meaning also.

Mr. Le Quoc Hung - Chairman of the HCMC Union of Friendship Association, spoke at the opening ceremony: "40 years of diplomatic relations between the Vietnam's and Japan's governments have rapidly enhanced numerous aspects of politics, society, security, defense, and culture. Today's event not only contributes to further strengthening the friendship between the two governments, but also helps us get better understanding of the two countries' peoples".
In order to meet the needs of the audience in Ho Chi Minh City, besides the tickets delivered before 9/11, the organizers decided to open the movie show for the public so that those without tickets could still enjoy the movies, which were being screened at BHD Cinema - Bitexco Financial Tower (Hai Trieu Street, Dist 1, Ho Chi Minh City) from 13-18/11, 2014.
