CVSEAS MEETS PROF. KOJI KOBATA FROM UNIVERSITY OF FUKUI, JAPAN
, 20/01/2017 10:01On January 12 2017, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS), met up with Prof. Koji Kobata from the University of Fukui, Japan.
Prof. Koji Kobata is working as Vice Dean of the School of Global and Community Studies and also Deputy Director of the International Center at the University of Fukui. During his visit to Vietnam this time, he would like to seek cooperative opportunities in terms of research and exchange in human resource training with Vietnam.

More particularly, Prof. Koji Kobata wishes to collaborate with the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies to set up study tours and field trips for Japanese students in Vietnam so they can expand their understanding of history, economics, politics, culture, and cuisine, etc., which, according to the professor, is necessary and important in the period of Japan and Vietnam strengthening their cooperation in many aspects.
Prof. Koji Kobata also wants to provide Vietnamese students with chances to study in Japan. He will come back to Vietnam in June so as to enroll students in the University of Fukui, which is well-known for programs in education, technology, medicine, and international studies with more than 5,000 students. More specially, the university was rank first in the list of schools having students successfully finding a job after their graduation at the rate of up to 96.1% in 2015.
