Dr. Tran Dinh Lam had a meeting with Miyazawa Satoru – Director of Koushin Co., Ltd. (Japan) on April 24.
At the meeting, Miyazawa shared about not only his experience in human resources training to develop the economy but also some philosophies of business. He emphasized “Trust” in business with the viewpoint “letting other people play tricks on him rather than deceiving them, and maintaining trust in each other”.

Miyazawa Satoru – Director of Koushin Co., Ltd.
Evaluating the roles of each employee and subsidiary in the overall operation, he applied the principle “other people’s happiness and success are also his own”. Only when there is cooperation among small sections and harmony between interests and responsibilities will joint sustainability come. It is also necessary to pay attention to the philosophy of “bread hero”, with emphasis on sharing with each other, both in life and in business affairs.
The Director of Koushin Co., Ltd. also highly valued modesty in work. He was interested in the metaphor in which blooming yellow rice flowers with lots of grains usually sag while those with few grains often stretch over the sky. The higher one wants to climb up, the lower he needs to stoop down.
In addition, he mentioned the story about 6,000 kg of rice since the Edo period. At that time a locality in Japan was granted rice by the government for its good accomplishments. The local authority and its residents, however, unanimously decided to sell that amount of rice to build schools. It can be seen from the story that Japanese people paid special attention to the role of learning and training human resources as a foundation for development, which also indicates their emphasis on the future rather than on short-term benefit. The more educated one is, the wider vision he can achieve.
As a devoted person to Vietnam with the hope of promoting a long lasting cooperation, Miyazawa has been making practical contributions to the issue of training human resources in Vietnam, especially in the sectors of information technology (IT), software development along with a number of valuable scholarships. He also collaborated with the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies to offer IT courses to Vietnamese students.
Working with Vietnamese people, Miyazawa appreciates their industriousness. Young IT force of Vietnam with their creativity and highly professional competence is expected to play an important role in facilitating cooperation in economic development of both Vietnam and Japan. He hopes that there will be more programmers and IT specialists good at Japanese so that they can get software from Japan to work in Vietnam.
Miyazawa has 9-year experience in working for Fotwal, which is a consultancy and investment company. After founding his private company, he has been expanding its size. Now his company has 8 branches in the suburb of Tokyo and one HCMC-based representative office.
