MEETING WITH PRESIDENT OF HUAFAN UNIVERSITY, DR. JIEN-MING JUE

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam has just met up with Dr. Jien-ming Jue, President of Huafan University (Taiwan) and Prof. Tran Van Doan from National Taiwan University at the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam has just met up with Dr. Jien-ming Jue, President of Huafan University (Taiwan) and Prof. Tran Van Doan from National Taiwan University at the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.

Discussing during the meeting, Dr. Jue expressed his wish to promote the cooperative relationship in education between the two nations. He specially emphasized the importance of human resource training, hoping to be able to offer more valuable scholarships in order to create good opportunities for Vietnamese students’ study and research.

Having been to Vietnam for many times and witnessed the rapid development of Vietnam during the recent years, Dr. Jue is greatly impressed by the achievements in human training and human resource development that the Vietnam’s education has gained.

“Huafan University is always willing to admit Vietnamese students and facilitate their study with an effective learning environment”, emphasized the university president.

Huafan University was established in 1990 and located in the suburb of Taipei. It is the first university to be founded by Taiwan’s Buddhist Community with the ideology reasonably based on Chinese morality and mercy in Buddhism. The university’s goal is to help improve students’ learning capacity and promote deeper understanding of moral behaviors. Huafan is proud to have received the “Excellent Teaching” prize awarded by the Ministry of Education.
