OKINAWA CHURA ASSEMBLY PLAYED ''THE CLIMATE OF THE SOUTHERN ISLAND''
, 03/12/2009 13:12On two nights November 10-11,2009, Okinawa Chura Assembly played “Climate on the Southern Island” with the opera and dance on classical Ryukyu school (Japan) in HCMC Conservatoire. This is one of the activities in “Year of Japan – Mê Kông 2009).
The play attracted the audience with original traditional opera and dance in delicate combination with charming sound and light. "The climate of the Southern Island" revived people's life on Okinawa island and the legend on the hero fight the monster for the peaceful life. Japan is considered a power; however, in parallel of developing economy, the traditional values have been preserved and promoted with dances and traditional costumes. Okinawa Chura Assembly is the first professional women one in Okinawa province, having played in 25 countries. The assembly has been playing in the countries of the Mekong delta. This is one of activities in “Year of Japan – Mê Kông 2009).
