PRESIDENT OF PROVIDENCE UNIVERSITY, TAIWAN, VISITS CVSEAS

Before his official visits to several universities in HCMC, Prof. Tang C.Y, President of the Providence University, Prof. Tran Van Doan and 4 other professors had a meeting with the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) and Taiwanese Business Associations in HCMC, Binh Duong, Vung Tau and Dong Nai on February 13, 2014.

At the meeting, the associations had an open talk about the current situation of Vietnam’s human resources in their businesses. The cooperation between businesses and education was mentioned for many times by Prof. Tang C.Y during the discussion. According to this university president, it is the most important element in the success of Taiwan’s economy.

Prof. Tang C.Y wished to share his experience with other countries in the integration period and tried to open up more cooperative opportunities with universities in Vietnam, especially those in HCMC. The Taiwanese training model in which businesses and universities are connected will be very useful for Vietnam.

After the meeting on February 14, the professors from the Providence University will pay a visit to and work with Assoc.Prof. Vo Van Sen, President of HCMC USSH and Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Tien Dung, President of the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University – HCMC.

The Providence University is one of the best universities in Taiwan and it has got to the top 500 most prestigious universities in the world.
