Canadian pianist Alain Lefèvre was performing at the Municipal Theater of HCMC (Saigon Opera House).
Speaking at the start of the program, Alain Lefèvre said that he was very moved when performing in Vietnam for the first time. During the whole concert, he was not only a solo pianist performing songs which can touch the listeners’ hearts, but also an MC leading the audience up to each part of the concert with his good sense of humor. At the beginning of the program, he performed 7 Préludes by the renowned Canadian composer Francoise Dompierre with different sentiments, from passionately to gently. Coming to the second session of the concert, the pianist introduced 5 musical works composed by himself. Beautiful songs about love for family and life left profound impressions on the audience, touching the bottom of their hearts.
When the last notes of the “Symphony of Quebec” came to an end, almost all of the audience at the Municipal Theater of HCMC stood up to clap their hands continuously. Leaving the piano, Alain Lefèvre smiled happily when he bowed to the audience, enjoying his success as one of the “ambassadors for classical music” of his country.
Alain Lefèvre was born on 23/7/1962 in Poitiers (France) to a family with a musical tradition. When he was 4 years of age, Alain was enabled to familiarize with the piano by his father, a clarinetist. At the age of 5, he learnt his first lesson at Marguerite-Bourgeoys School in Montreal, Canada and displayed his talent as a genius by winning numerous national and worldwide prestigious music awards.
After the concert in HCMC, “10 magic fingers of Quebec” will have a performance at Hanoi Opera House on the evening of May 15.
