SHARING ABOUT HEIP-LINK PROJECT IN THAILAND

Several professors in Khon Kaen, Thailand have just had a discussion with Dr. Tran Dinh Lam about the issues of HEIP – LINK project. This is a research project which has been being undertaken by the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies together with many other countries in the world.

 

Several professors in Khon Kaen, Thailand have just had a discussion with Dr. Tran Dinh Lam about the issues of HEIP – LINK project. This is a research project which has been being undertaken by the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies together with many other countries in the world.

The discussion was within the frame of the conference From CLMVT to AEC: Current Situation and Future Prospects” just held in Khon Kaen, Thailand with the participation of over 250 leading businesses, professors, and researchers in the country. Prof. Sataporn Roengtam (Public Administration Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Anthropology, Khon Kaen University) also participated in the discussion, sharing many ideas about HEIP – LINK project, which is coordinated by the University of Alicante (Spain) and aims to do studies on Intellectual Property Rights in many countries on earth.

HEIP - LINK is a cooperation of 11 higher education institutions and networks from Europe, Latin America, BRIC, and ASEAN, covering approximately 60 countries in total. It is also co-funded by the European Commission in Erasmus Mundus Program with the aim of strengthening cooperation and promoting the international dimension of research in higher education institutions.

Prof. Sataporn Roengtam highlighted the necessity for universities to have collaboration in sharing knowledge of Intellectual Property, helping to enhance mutual understanding among the Southeast Asian countries in the integration process and reach a stable development community.
