On Saturday afternoon Sep 21, 2013, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam visited the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University and presented the books on “Intellectual Property Rights in Developing Countries” to the university library.

On the occasion of his visit to Chulalongkorn University, Dr. Lam had a meeting with Prof. Isra Sarntisart from the Centre for Muslim World Policies, Faculty of Economics. Prof. Isra has been working at this university for 35 years. He was in cooperation with the Center for Vietnam and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS). He hopes to have other opportunities to cooperate with CVSEAS again for promoting the training of human resources between Vietnam and Thailand.

Chulalongkorn University is the first institution of higher learning, which officially came into being in March, 1917. The groundwork and preparation for it in terms of planning and development, however, took place more than a century ago. This is among top universities in Thailand.

The book on intellectual property rights was donated to the library of this university. Hopefully, this book will make a valuable contribution to the resource center, providing scholars, staffs and students who are interested in IPRs issues with an additional reference.

Dr. Lam (L) presented the book to the representative of the library of Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University
