VISITING YANGON UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS, MYANMAR

On December 01, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam paid a visit to the Yangon University of Economics, meeting with Dr. Moe Moe Khaing, Head of Department of Management Studies.
Upon the occasion, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam presented two books “Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: The Way to Success” and “The Economic, Cultural and Social Life of Bahnar People Sustainable Development” to the school’s library.

Dr. Tran Dinh Lam hoped that the two books will enrich the reference resources for the University’s scholars, lecturers, students and those interested in the subjects.
Yangon University of Economics is one of the leading schools in Myanmar specialized in economics and business administration. Given the context that Myanmar needs to boost its economy after a long period of “closing” its door, business administration has been regarded as a key major playing an important role in promoting the country’s economic growth. Its economy has gradually flourished recently thanks to foreign investments, especially in education. At present, the Yangon University of Economics has participants in international training projects initiated by the EU and has achieved some promising results. Also, the University is running several international MBA programs with the purpose of increasing the chance of accessing knowledge from developed countries and applying their experience to Myanmar’s national education.
