In the morning of April 29th, 2020, the executive committee of project V2WORK* had a brunch meeting with business leaders on “Post-pandemic Employment in Vietnam – Challenges and Opportunities” as part of the project’s framework.
In the morning of April 28th, 2020, 10 students of Burapha University and University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Ho Chi Minh City had a virtual exchange as part of TOURIST* Work Package 4 – Development.
In the morning of April 10th, 2020, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized a virtual replication seminar on “Organizing Online Classes and Job Fair” for teachers and business leaders as part of project V2WORK’s (Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship) framework. The seminar is a continuation of the fifth ToT (Training of Trainers) seminar on “Tools for Engagement through Career Centers” in Tra Vinh, under the guidance of the coordinators from the University of Alicante, University of Coimbra, and FH Joanneum University.
In the morning of March 31, 2020, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEAS) held a second progress report on V2WORK's project activites. In attendance were Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, and Ms. Ho Cam Nhung of the Center for Career Orientation and Human Resource Development.
In the morning of February 28th, an acceptance and handover of equipment for the “Supply and install equipment for project TOURIST* – Competence Center for the Development of Sustainable Tourism and Innovative Financial Management Strategies to Increase the Positive Impact of Local Tourism in Thailand and Vietnam” project was completed at Room D012 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Dinh Tien Hoang campus by the Acceptance and Handover Board.
In the morning of February 13th, a check and acceptance of all equipment belonging to the “Supply and install equipment and databases for project V2WORK* – Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship” package was completed at room D610 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dinh Tien Hoang campus by the Check and Acceptance Board.
Morning of November 30th 2019, the extended training workshop “Experiences in managing tourist destinations from the cases of Japan and Vietnam” was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-USSH-HCM) as part of the TOURIST* project’s framework.
In the morning of October 4th, a check and acceptance of all equipment belonging to the “Supplying and implementing equipment and databases for project REACT – Strengthening capacities on research and renovation in climate change in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam” package was completed at the Administration Building of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Thu Duc campus by the Check and Acceptance Board.
On December 4th, 2019, within the framework of project TOURIST, the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Tourism was held in Hanoi. Representatives from FH Joanneum University (Austria), Ms. Claudia Linditsch, and Prof. Harald A. Friedl had a working visit with Dr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director General of Tourism Administration. The meeting was attended by Mr. Tran Phu Cuong - Director General of International Cooperation, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Director of the Institute for Tourism Development, and Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies.
