INTRODUCING THE V2WORK PROJECT TO STUDENTS OF TRA VINH AND CAN THO UNIVERSITIES

On September 9th, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a meeting with nearly 500 students from Tra Vinh and Can Tho Universities to introduce the V2WORK project.

 

The meeting also welcomed Mr. Tran Van Lieng – Chairman/CEO of Vinacacao Joint Stock Company, Dr. Thai Cong Dan – Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Can Tho University), Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao – Head of Student Affairs Department (Can Tho University).

During the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Lieng talked about startup in Vietnam, a path that many young people have been pursuing in recent years. Specifically, he stated that startup is the creation of new values and fear is the biggest challenge for many people. Given his experience in constructing VINACACAO, he deeply understood that challenge and hoped to provide endeavor for young people through the Rookie Marketing Competition 2018 with online commerce as the focal point.

Afterwards, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam introduced the benefits of V2WORK project to Vietnamese students. He said that the Rookie Marketing was the place where V2WORK trying to create – an authentic environment for students to practice, broaden experience and display all of their capabilities.

He advocated the attempts to develop human resources between business sector and universities. Besides, he also held high regards of scholarship programs at University of Alicante for partner universities of V2WORK for excellent students after the project finishes till 2021.
