LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF TALENT SEARCH COMPETITION IN THE FIELD OF FINTECH 2021

On September 30th, 2021, the launching ceremony of the Talent Search Competition in the field of FINTECH 2021 was organized via Zoom app meeting with the participation of representatives from government agencies, enterprises, lecturers, and students. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, also attended the meeting.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Quat, General Director of National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development - Ministry of Science and Technology, emphasized that creative competitions contain significant meaning in the current context. He expected the competition would bring many breakthrough ideas, contributing to the development of FINTECH. Introducing the competition, Mrs. Pham Thi Tuyet, Banking Academy - the header of Fintech Village TECHFEST 2021 stated the competition would create opportunities for direct interaction and working among project teams with famous and experienced advisors, judges, and leading experts in the FINTECH field; gradually helping teams realize business ideas, equipping them with knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship, innovation and operation management for projects sustainable development, and connecting with investment funds in the region and abroad.

The launching ceremony also presented two discourses on the orientation and policies in promoting Fintech startups. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang, Chairman of Fintech Club, Head of Advisory Board, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of LienViet PostBank pointed out the difficulties and challenges of the 4.0 revolution and emphasized the roles and opportunities of Vietnam in the digital transformation process and Fintech network connection. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Ba Diep, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, co-founder of MoMo emphasized that companies in Vietnam, instead of independent operation, need to develop an ecosystem to promote the development of Fintech Vietnam. Up to now, MoMo is considered a pioneering Fintech in building its payment ecosystem in Vietnam, bringing convenience to customers and creating a distinct competitive advantage.
