TOURIST 1ST EXPERT TRAINING AT HUE UNIVERSITY
, 09/10/2018 16:10The TOURIST 1st Expert Training was hosted at Hue University from 2nd – 5th October, 2018.
Participants from University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH) include Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, Dr. Ngo Thanh Loan and MA Duong Duc Minh, Department of Tourism.
The 1st training focuses on the following topics related to tourism in Southeast Asia:
- Evaluation and analysis of destinations in the context of tourism development in Southeast Asia
- Paradoxes and challenges of sustainable tourism
- Indicators and rules of the execution of sustainable tourism
- The role of stakeholders in making sustainable tourism
Trainers of the training were professors from University of FH Joanneum (Austria), University of Applied Science Haaga-Helia (Finland), and University of Alicante (Spain). During the three-day training, participants engaged in discussions and exchanges in which they presented their opinions on the geographical characteristics of their regions – Finland, Austria, Vietnam, Thailand in order to form a grand picture of the pros and cons of the tourism industry on which the solutions and upcoming training programs are based to adjust and adapt more efficiently in execution of sustainable tourism at the very local level.
The second training will be held on December at HCMUSSH.
