WEBINAR ON AGRICULTURAL ECONOMIC - VIETNAMESE INTELLECTUALS FORUM IN JAPAN 2021On November 21, 2021, the webinar "Agricultural economy: The development of agricultural economy in Mekong Delta" was organized online. The event is one of the in-depth discussions in a series of seminars at the Vietnamese Intellectuals Forum in Japan this year. At the virtual seminar, speakers and experts expressed their views on the agricultural picture in Vietnam as well as in the Mekong Delta. Future plans for the development of the agricultural economy were also discussed, aiming to improve the position of Vietnam agriculture in the world map.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: LAW AND ECONOMICS ON ILLICIT TRADESOn October 30th, 2021, International Conference: Law and Economics on Illicit Trades was organized online by the Institute for Advanced Social Sciences, Waseda University, Japan. The conference had the participation of scholars and researchers from Japan, China, Malaysia, the US, Italy, and Vietnam. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of CVSEAS attended the meeting as a chairman of the panel discussion.
TAIWAN EDUCATION FAIR IN VIETNAM 2021On October, 30th 2021, Taiwan Education Fair in Vietnam was organized as a virtual event by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office. The annual event aimed to provide information and benefits on studying in Taiwan to Vietnamese students. This event was also the opportunity to promote the cooperation between Vietnam - Taiwan in affiliate training, exchange program, and transfer program.
VIRTUAL FAIR: CAPACITY BUILDING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONOn October 26-27th 2021, the Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Virtual Fair was jointly organized online by Erasmus+ National Offices and European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The Virtual Fair displayed the results achieved by 2015-2020 funded projects of universities around the world. With the aim to inspire and shape the next generation of CBHE projects, the Virtual Fair had the participation of academics, university managers, students, and national policymakers.
OCOP TRAINING COURSE - SESSION 7: METHODS AND TOOLS FOR BUILDING A MODEL OF DESTINATION FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISMFrom September 28th, 2021, Center for Rural Development - Saemaul Undong, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM in collaboration with Central New Rural Coordination Office and Association of Francophone Universities (AUF) implemented the training course of One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2021.
LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF TALENT SEARCH COMPETITION IN THE FIELD OF FINTECH 2021On September 30th, 2021, the launching ceremony of the Talent Search Competition in the field of FINTECH 2021 was organized via Zoom app meeting with the participation of representatives from government agencies, enterprises, lecturers, and students. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, also attended the meeting.
ONLINE FORUM ''FROM COOPERATION TO STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP: A DECADE OF SHARED DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE, PROSPERITY AND PEACE''On October 1st, 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Thailand and Mekong Institute (MI) hosted an online forum titled “From Cooperation to Strategic Partnership: A Decade of Shared Development for People, Prosperity and Peace” via Zoom meeting app. The forum had the participation of speakers, researchers, officials representing government agencies, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, think tanks, universities, non-government organizations, media, and business chambers and associations. Dr. Tran Dinh Lam, Director of CVSEAS, also attended the event.
VIETNAM EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM - VES 2021
On two days 9 and 10 Sep, 2021, the international conference on social sciences and humanities 2021 was held, welcoming a host of participants from local and international universities such as University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM USSH, Hoa Sen University, Deakin University (Australia), University of Bath (UK). The symposium, organized by USSH VNUHCM, AVSE Global and Vietnam Journal of Education (Ministry of Education and Training) made “Higher Education's Adaptation to Crises” a central theme.
SEMINAR ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES - CAN THO UNIVERSITY
On Sep, 6th 2021, the webinar “Digital Transition in teaching and learning - Foundation and Resources” was held with the attendance of several members from Can Tho University together with Dr Tran Dinh Lam, Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies. The main topic was the importance of digital transition to teaching and learning at the present time of many uncertainties and changes.
A TALK ON CHAM ETHNIC MINORITY BY PROF. IKEMOTO YUKIO, UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO In the midst of the pandemic, Vietnamese ethnic group is still a topic that receives lots of attention from scholars all over the world. The online meeting on Cham ethnic group, hosted by Prof Ikemoto Yukio and Photographer Aoki Yukiko (University of Tokyo) was held on June 27th, with the participation of Dr Tran Dinh Lam (Director of CVSEAS), Assoc. Prof. Thanh Phan and Ms Nguyen Thuy, lecturer of Van Lang University. Prof Ikemoto also collaborated with USSH before in the study on Interdisciplinary Study on Poverty based on Capability Approach.
