TAIWAN EDUCATION FAIR IN VIETNAM 2021

On October, 30th 2021, Taiwan Education Fair in Vietnam was organized as a virtual event by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office. The annual event aimed to provide information and benefits on studying in Taiwan to Vietnamese students. This event was also the opportunity to promote the cooperation between Vietnam - Taiwan in affiliate training, exchange program, and transfer program.

This year’s event had the participation of 52 universities and academies in Taiwan - the highest number over the years. The fair was organized with the objectives of providing information on universities, top-ranked programs, and scholarships; guiding for admission and registration procedures and scholarship application; and supporting students on finding information and clearing up queries from participants by university representatives. In addition, students attending the fair also had the opportunity to win gifts and many valuable scholarships from leading universities in Taiwan.

Speaking at the fair, Dr. Mon-Chi Lio - Deputy Minister of Education, believed that the fair would draw a significant picture of Taiwan education in general and each university in particular to Vietnam students, parents, and lecturers, helping them choose the appropriate field of study. According to 2020 statistics, he said, Vietnam is the largest source of overseas students in Taiwan with more than 17,000 Vietnamese studying in the country.

The high-quality education in Taiwan has gained worldwide recognition and is now one of the top destinations for Vietnamese students to study abroad. This yearly event will importantly enhance the cooperation and exchange, affirming the close partnership in education between Vietnam - Taiwan.
