TOURIST 4TH EXPERT TRAINING AT UNIVERSITY OF BURAPHA, THAILAND
, 03/04/2019 14:04From March 25th to 29th, the 4th Expert Training on sustainable tourism activities took place at University of Burapha, Thailand. The training is part of the TOURIST Project.
The training witnessed the presence of experts from field of tourism from FH JOANNEUM Gesellschaft mbH (Austria), University of Applied Science Haaga-Helia (Finland), University of Alicante (Spain), together with 30 participants from universities of Thailand and Vietnam.
For University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH), the participants were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan – President of the school, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Hanh – Vice dean of Faculty of Tourism.
The trainers included Prof. Oana Drina – University of Alicante, Prof. Jarmo Ritalahti – University of Applied Science Haaga-Helia, and lecturer Claudia Lindistch – FH Joanneum.

The training focused on providing tools for operating tourism centres as well as promoting values and benefits of centre’s activities to different type of audiences in the field of tourism.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan – President of HCMUSSH, delivered presentation at the training.
Besides indoor training, participants had a chance to visit the tourism model at Jam Rung Village – a small village at the Rayong province east Thailand that is famous for its self-sufficient economic model in accordance with the philosophy of King Bhumibol. In addition, participants also studied Pattaya city as a destination site with Faculty of Management and Tourism, University of Burapha.
