At the invitation of Prof. Sakchai Setarnawat, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies attended a discussion session with students of Faculty of Management and Tourism, Burapha University, Thailand.

In the afternoon of January 21st, Faculty of Culture, Faculty of Anthropology together with Office of Scientific Research and Project Management co-hosted the seminar “Dark Tourism: A global, national, and local approach” with the presence of guest speaker Prof. Dr. Andrew D. Gordon from Harvard – Yenching Institute and Dr. Truong Thi Thu Hang, vice dean of faculty of anthropology as the interpreter.

Within the framework of REACT project on climate change funded by ERAMUS+, Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies (CVSEA) organized a national seminar on the topic Climate change and social economic vulnerability in the Mekong on December 21, 2018 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

From November 27th to 30th, the 3rd V2WORK training of trainers was held at Da Nang University with central topics on enterprise, entrepreneurship and marketing skills development.

 

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – WHAT SHOULD WE LEARN FROM FUKUZAWASUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – WHAT SHOULD WE LEARN FROM FUKUZAWA

Early this November, I went on a short business trip to Europe. I was invited to participate in a conference on sustainable development in Southeast Asian at Belgium and then had a talk session with two universities in Italia and Netherlands. This whole trip has shown me a broader picture of green activities in this region.

From December 11 to 14, the 2nd TOURIST expert training was held at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH). This training is part of the TOURIST project.

The Final Conference of the ENHANCE Project - Strengthening National Research and Innovation Capacity in Vietnam - takes place on September 19th and 20th at University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH-VNU).
