On July 20th and 21st, 2020, Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities – a member of TOURIST project, attended an international webinar on Sustainable tourism development in ASEAN. The second international seminar taking place in Bangkok (Thailand) is one of activities of project TOURIST* funded by European Union through Erasmus+ Foundation.

On June 10th, 2020, an online discussion among ten hand-picked students from Ho Chi Minh University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMUSSH) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was held via Google Meet. The discussion was chaired by Dr. Chatchawan – Representative of PSU and  Dr. Tran Dinh Lam – Director of Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies as part of project TOURIST*.

Unsecured loans, especially from finance companies, have been proven to be full of risks such as, high interest rate, no-contract deals, and obscure ways of calculating interest. In spite of these red flags, the majority of factory workers still favor this form of money loaning.

In the morning of April 10th, 2020, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies organized a virtual replication seminar on “Organizing Online Classes and Job Fair” for teachers and business leaders as part of project V2WORK’s (Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education System to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurship) framework. The seminar is a continuation of the fifth ToT (Training of Trainers) seminar on “Tools for Engagement through Career Centers” in Tra Vinh, under the guidance of the coordinators from the University of Alicante, University of Coimbra, and FH Joanneum University.
