SEMINAR: JAPANESE BUSINESS CULTURE

On March 26, 2018, the Center for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Studies held a seminar on “Japanese business culture” presented by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Fuyuko Takita, lecturer from Hiroshima University (Japan), with the participation of students of Faculty of International Relations, English Linguistics & Literature, and Japanese Studies at HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Although the seminar lasted for only 3 hours, it provided a lot of knowledge useful to students who plan and wish to have international exchanges and Japan-Vietnam business cooperation. Opening the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Fuyuko Takita shared knowledge of Japanese culture which she thought students should pay attention to. “Credibility, Loyalty, and Discipline are the most important rules in business to Japanese people which any partner should acknowledge in order to ensure long-lasting cooperation in business”, confirmed Ms. Fuyuko Takita.

Then, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Fuyuko Takita played an interesting game which simulated the signing of a Vietnam-Japan business contract with the purpose of helping the students get a better understanding of Japanese people’s style of doing business.
